Construction Apprenticeship
(5 years)
Steamfitters (construction) lay out, assemble, fabricate, troubleshoot, maintain and repair piping systems that carry water, steam, chemicals, compressed air, liquids, gases or fuel used in energy production, heating, cooling, food processing, manufacturing, lubricating and other process piping systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Produce a high school or GED/HSED transcript from an accredited institution.
- Meet or exceed required norms on the aptitude test. View sample questions.
- Complete 576 hours of classroom training.
- Complete 9,326 hours of on-the-job training.
HVACR Refrigeration/Service Apprenticeship (5 years)
Steamfitters (refrigeration/service) install, start-up, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose and service HVACR systems, equipment and controls in piping systems that carry water, steam, chemicals, compressed air, liquid gasses or fuel used in energy production, heating, cooling, food processing, manufacturing, lubricating and other process piping systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Produce a high school or GED/HSED transcript from an accredited institution.
