To be eligible for an apprenticeship as a millwright, applicants must be 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and reliable transportation to and from work. They also must be reliable, hardworking and:
- Good communicators with verbal and written communication skills
- Have a high regard for safety
- An aptitude for math
- Able to maintain good grades and attendance
- Enjoy working in a team environment
- Have a keen eye for details with an ability to interpret and follow written directions
